The Dominica Association of Teachers is currently preparing to make its maiden appearance at the Caribbean Union of Teachers Track and Field Championships. A team comprising fifteen athletes and three officials will leave the State on Friday, July 23, 2010 for St. Kitts.
The Team which will participate in the 13th Biennial Caribbean Union of Teachers Track and Field Championships otherwise known as the CUT Games includes Estaphania Pascal, Kerdisha Royer, Emerly John, Orie Baron, and Derick St. Jean from the Dominica Grammar School, Nicole Paris, Noah Bethelamie, Ajani Reefe, Desmond Boney and Stephan Telemaque, from the North East Comprehensive School, Jernel Phillip and Chelsea Lawrence from the Wesley Primary School, Luan Gabriel from the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School, Anisha Burton from the Concord Primary School, and Deon Burton from the Atkinson Primary School. Leading the team is Mr. Julian Lloyd Benjamin who will serve as Chef De Mission/ Manager. Also accompanying the Team are coaches, Mr. Smith Telemaque – Head Coach and Miss Rhona Daniel – Assistant Coach.
Team is intensifying its training regime at a two day camp July 20 and 21 at Dublanc.
The Dominica Association of Teachers thanks most sincerely all those organizations, institutions and individuals who assisted in ensuring Dominica’s participation in the CUT Games for the first time in its history. Kudos to ALL!!!
